Please note that before submitting a request for rectification, the rectification must be negotiated within 14 days with the teacher who performed the assessment. From the date on which the assessment is final, an appeal can be made to the Examination Board within 14 days. If, for example, the teacher is unable to be reached due to a leave period, the 14-day deadline is calculated from the time when the teacher has been sent a request to clarify the assessment, i.e. the appeal must be made within the deadline and the request for rectification must state when the teacher has been contacted.
The Examination Board does not re-evaluate the performance but examines whether the assessment has been carried out in accordance with the degree regulations and valid assessment criteria.
If the Examination Board considers that the assessment has not been carried out correctly, it obliges the degree (directors and teachers) to correct the assessment. The educational management (degree director and competence area director) is responsible for ensuring that the obligation is fulfilled.
The appeal will be rejected if the deadlines have not been met or the Examination Board cannot find grounds for correcting the assessment.
The most common reason for rejection decisions is that the applicant refers to criteria that are not included in the assessment criteria. It should also be noted that the assessment criteria of the course/implementation cannot be appealed but must be discussed with the responsible teacher during the course/implementation.
The Examination Board processes rectification claims normally within 2–3 weeks (excluding holiday periods) after the E-form has been sent.
Send the appeal to the chairperson of the Examination Board via attachment procedure (even if you do not have attacments). -> [Continue to send attachments] -> [Submit data]. In the case of no attachments, confirm -> [OK]. If you saved attacments in section A or B, there is no need to save them again.
